Experience action packed 3D dogfights on exotic planets with easily mastered controls allowing for creative play for casual and hardcore gamers alike. Gather valuable crystals to upgrade and customise your ship with plundered Mantis blueprints allowing for exploration of distant worlds as you become more powerful. Whilst completely free to play, various boosters and upgrades, which are luxuries rather than necessities ,can be voluntarily purchased from the integrated item shop system.
A robust clan and alliance system is in place allowing for easy communication with current members and swift induction of potential ones.
Each system has multiple conquest planets offering PvP oriented players the chance to pit their skill against others in clan based warfare allowing for large scale battles with the victor given control of the planetary battleground.
The progressive story line currently spans four complete star systems offering players many hours of enthralling solo or squadron based gameplay through planet exploration and story missions. Pirate Galaxy's continual development means many more star systems are proposed to be added with the fifth star system "Sol" nearing the end of completion and is scheduled to go live near the end of February.
Pirate Galaxy is based on Splitscreen's bespoke technology platform which guarantees instant action by being playable direct from the web browser without the need to lengthy downloads and installs. The swift registration process, streamlined interface and seamlessly integrated tutorial ensure that the game appeals to both beginners and experienced gamers.

Back Story
In the distant future, a tyrannical and parasitic alien force threatens humanities existence in the Galaxy. Known as the Mantis, they have ruthlessly eradicated hundreds of civilisations and ecosystems in their search for Cryonite - the mysterious mineral powering their superior technology.
Through selflessness and bravery, a small group of pilots and engineers from the Outer Colonial Systems have managed to obtain Mantis technology, decode it and successfully retrofit their spaceship. They have been branded as pirates by the Mantis and their collaborators, but others see them as humanities last freedom fighters.
By using the Mantis' own technology against them, this small group of pilots struggle to protect what is left of humanity, and by doing so, discover mysterious alien artefacts that promise great power to whoever can unify them.
