Fly for Fun, better know as FlyFF is a 3-D, Animated-Style, Fantasy MMORPG. It's currently run by Gala-Net in correspondence with G-Potato. The game incorporates classic RPG styles with a blend of humor and a more wholesome, family-friendly version of RPG fun. Like most Free-to-Play games, Flyff has a cash item shop where players are able to purchase bonus items. They may also purchase novelty items such as funny and cute costumes that can go over your current armor, making you able to change your appearance without having to decrease your stats. The Cash Shop also offers pets, such as a Penguin, Hamster, over even a Cheeseburger. As the name suggests, a major part of the game is flight.

Instead of ground mounts, FlyFF players are mounted up on brooms or air boards, yes like the one from Back to the Future, and travel in the sky to go between the isles in the spirit of hunting, questing, and overall adventuring fun. Game Play Basics: Like most MMORPG's, Flyff uses a simple game interface that is familiar to anyone who has touched an MMORPG before. There is an item bag, character status menu, equipment menu, and skill action bar where you can hotkey skills, actions, or emotes. There is also a little fellow who acts as a help guide when there are things that you don't quiet understand. The graphics, while not overly fancy, are not completely horrible either. They stick with a traditional Manwha (Korean-Manga) style that goes very well with the background and story, even if they can make things seem a little block-like, at least it's up there with early PS2 RPG games. You can control that game with the mouse and/or keyboard for interaction with other characters/monsters/NPCS. Features: As mentioned earlier, one of FlyFF main points is the in-game flying that allows traveling to different places on the world map that you can not otherwise get too on foot. The world is a collection of floating isles, each with their own towns, dungeons, bosses, and monsters.

The game play has a Class-Evolution system, in which getting to a certain level allows your to change into a higher form of your current job class, a Pet system, and the ability to buy 'Costumes' in the Cash Shop to change your outer appearance without having to swap out your combative armor. There are boss monsters that wander the fields and dungeons of practically every mob, along with pre- dropped quest items for quest chains. Class Overview: Like other MMORPG's ,such as Ragnarok Online, Flyff starts you off with a beginner class called a Vagrant, and just like other games that have the "Prequel Starter Class", it is basically a tutorial that is 15 levels long. Despite FlyFF being an fun game, it doesn't hide the fact very well that it is a heavy grinder and right away, you are thrown into a kill to level trend. It's nice to point out that your stats will reset after you pick an actual class, so for all those future mages, archers, and healers out there, don't be too worried about putting your points in strictly damage and attack. After level 15, you are allowed to pick from the following classes: The Acrobat: Acrobats are the Rogue Class of FlyFF.

They are proficient in the use of Bows or Yo-Yo's (duel-wielded type of weapon). Their outfits consist of Ranger, I'm talking about Lone Ranger, styled outfits, complete with cowboy hats and boots. Class-evolution lets you choose between a Ranger (bow mastery) or a Jester (Yo-Yo Mastery). The Assist: Assists are the Priest Class of FlyFF. They are the main source for Buffing, Healing, and overall good things that can improve your performance. If you choose not to be a healer, which means you would evolve into a Ringmaster, the second option is to be a Billposter. Billposters, maybe questionably the must self-sufficient class in the entire game, can not only buff themselves, but also have devastating attacks using a fist and shield. The Magician: Magician are the Mage classes FlyFF, obviously. They specialize in magical damage and the elements for attacking, and then eventually for buffing also. If going for demonic forces and mental prowess, then a Psykeeper is up your alley as a choice for a second class. If you're looking for AoE (Area of Effect) spells, a little buffing, and elemental attacks, then you're better off choosing an Elementor as a second class change. The Mercenary: Mercenaries are the warrior class of FlyFF. If you enjoy being the best DPS (damage per second) in a game, I suggest choosing the role of a duel-wielding, sword swinging, damaging Blade Class. If you rather be completely indispensable in a party, but healing isn't your thing, there is always the option of the ever useful, tanking class of the Knight. Closing Remarks: FlyFF is a game that's fun to pick up and play as long as you have a group of friends to play with.

If your circle of friends is strong and useful, playing for long periods of time won't burn you out too much. As a soloing game though, it's gets very hard and very tedious very quickly with it's heavy grinding and repetitive quests. While the dungeons are fun to crawl though and some of the quests actually involve a worldly interactive story line, the bulk of it is filled with kill 'this many' or collect 'this many' questing. There are also many gold spammers in the main cities. Some of the upside to this game though is the many events the game has that allows those of us who don't have very much cash to spare for items to grab things that we'd would otherwise have to pay for.
